Apply at room temperature in a dust- and moisture-free environment, away from direct sunlight. For best results apply above 10°C / 50°F, and work only on cool surfaces. GlasShield Wipe-On is a two-step kit — a Nasiol Clean prep wipe (package 1) and the rain-repellent wipes (package 2).
- Make sure the glass is dry and free of dust, wax, oil, grease, and other contamination. Clean the outer surface with a suitable glass cleaner to remove lime, resin, oil, and dust.
- Wear gloves. Open package 1 and wipe the entire glass panel with the Nasiol Clean wipe, using lateral and vertical movements. A poorly cleaned surface will keep the coating from bonding. Allow the surface to dry.
- Open package 2. Working one half of the windshield at a time, apply the rain-repellent wipe immediately in lateral motions, without pressing too hard, covering the half panel evenly. Use one wipe per half of the windshield.
- Spread the product evenly across the half panel — the wipe dries out as product transfers to the glass. Buff until every trace of the wiping disappears. Check from different angles and re-clean any residue if needed.
- Leave to cure for 24 hours in a dry, dust-free place away from direct sunlight, and keep the coated surface away from the elements, contamination, and water for that time.
GlasShield Wipe-On is formulated for windshields, exterior glass, and mirrors. Do not use on headlights and taillights, thermosets and thermoplastics, window tints, interior glass, or textiles and fabrics, and do not apply to interior glass surfaces. If it accidentally contacts a non-target surface, wipe it off immediately with a microfiber cloth before it cures.
Store unopened packaging in a dry, well-ventilated space away from heat and ignition sources at -3°C to 30°C / 26.6°F to 86°F. Shelf life is 24 months from production date in unopened packaging under these conditions. After opening, use within one week and close the packaging after every use to avoid loss by evaporation.
